District policy and current research dictate about 10 minutes of homework per grade level each night plus an additional 10 minutes. Therefore, 4th graders should receive no more than 50 minutes per night which includes 25 minutes of reading. Homework should be reflective of what is being worked on in class. If your child is spending longer than this on a consistent basis, please let me know immediately. Regular homework is not assigned on Fridays - enjoy the weekends!
